Position Summary:
The Farmers Alliance is seeking a Markets Intern Lead to manage our market stand at the UDC Van Ness Farmers Market. This role focuses on sales, customer engagement, and driving subscriptions and donations.
Requirements
Based in DMV area
Strong communication and sales skills
Reliable and able to work independently
Interest in food systems or community outreach preferred
Key Responsibilities
Operate and manage the market stand
Sell produce, microgreens, and merchandise
Promote Fresh Basket subscriptions and donation programs
Support on-site sign-ups and customer engagement
Track sales and interactions
Assist with setup and breakdown
